Institution: CNRS (France) and a consortium of European research institutes and operational centres
NEMO is a state-of-the-art modeling framework for oceanographic research and operational oceanography. It allows several ocean related components of the earth system to work together or separately. This framework is intended to be interfaced with the remaining component of the earth system (atmosphere, land surfaces, ...) via the OASIS coupler. The ocean component, OPA9, has been rewritten in fortran 90. It is maintained by CNRS (France) and a consortium of European research institutes and operational centres.
